Gallery Woo is participating in Art Fair Asia Fukuoka 2026 (AFAF).
Held in Fukuoka, Japan, AFAF is an art fair that introduces a diverse range of galleries and artists, primarily from across Asia, connecting new currents in contemporary art with collectors.
At this year’s AFAF, Gallery Woo will present works by Han Choong-seok and Bang Zi-young.
This exhibition features a selection of drawing works by Han Choong-seok.
Created with charcoal powder and pencil on cotton cloth, the works delicately depict figures and landscapes within restrained black-and-white compositions. Through the deep texture of charcoal and the fine lines of pencil, the works reveal the artist’s distinctive sense of quietness and intimacy
Artist Bang zi-young captures moments discovered in familiar scenes and objects from everyday life through her own distinctive sense of color and perspective. Within small, intimate compositions, delicately layered colors and forms transform ordinary everyday scenes into warm and special moments.
Practicing Relationships
Through scenes of different beings living and remaining together, the artist reflects on the relationships between humans, nature, and living beings. In the process of accepting one another’s presence and learning to live together, the artist explores the meaning of coexistence and relationships.
